Inspiration picture on the Just Add Ink #516 challenge is this amazing pink Christmas tree….oh how I wish we would have kept some of those retro white, silver and pink trees….so for my card I pulled out my pink cardstock and cut 1/2 inch strips to create my background. I did case this idea from Yana Smakula and her beautiful blue hues card. My stamp set is a Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp of Approval Hip Holiday set. I stamped the sections of my tree in different inks, embossing powder to create my “hip” tree.

WOW, what a great play on the inspiration. Your colors are spot on.
Love it!
Cute! Looks so festive like the photo.
Love that background idea! Your tree looks great with the different patterns, and I love how the vellum “holds your greeting and elements together” on all those bright stripes.
Oh my gosh, how cool is this??? Pink is one color I never used for Christmas cards, thanks for the idea.
Great card. Love the hip tree against the pink background.
What a fun card, Gayle! It really goes amazingly with the inspiration picture, too.
Love love love. What a fabulous creation, Gayle. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week. x
This is such a cute take on the Inspiration pic, Gayle! I love the different embossed patterns and layers of your tree and the colour block strips for your background are so fun and sweet. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
Great back ground effect. I like your funky layered tree. Chantell Just Add Ink
Outside the box thinking on this one. A pink tree no less with a fun, colourful non traditional background.
