Tropical Flamingo

This was a fun card to create. I pulled out every tropical set that I can remember owning and used stamps from three companies. The particular entry is for the Retro Rubber Challenge of Summertime.

The flamingo is from The Stamps of Life, dated May 2016 The large tropical leaves are from Leave Me in Paradise, Catherie Pooler Designs, July 2018. There are small tropical leaves from Hero Arts, dated 2019. I used my MISTI for the background, placing the leaves on one half of the paper, stamping, then turning the paper and stamping again. All of the inks are from Gina K Designs.

This card was created with inspiration from the Featured Stamper from Split Coast Stampers. Here is the card I used for inspiration: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2864482?cat=fav

It was also entered in the current MISTI challenge at Split Coast Stampers, which is to use pink on your card.

  1. Wow – I really like this card. It is very tropical indeed and all those colours make for a very happy look. That flamingo is great!

    1. Thanks Gayle! This is a gatefold card, but I photographed it flat. Everything is stamped, but was so much fun to create.

  2. Now this is a perfect tropical card. It is so bright and happy, I love it. Now I’m going to have tropical music going through my head.
