Tone on Tone Blooms

I saw the Make My Monday Challenge and decided to play along.

I used the Friendship Blooms set by Hero Arts/Gina K Designs, a collaboration for HA 45th Birthday. I stamped the floral image with Versamark Ink. Then added the greeting with a die from Gina K Designs. I embossed the die cut with Rose Gold embossing powder, then added it to the sides.

I love tone-on-tone and really enjoyed creating this card.

  1. This is so elegant Lisa. I love it and the rose gold is a perfect choice with the colour

    1. Thank you! This is a retired SU color, in the pink family. It looks very red on my screen. I think it is called Primrose Petals. Love the rose gold and it was sitting there along with the die, so it was calling to be used.

  2. I love how your added embossing powder to your die cut, and your tone on tone background is really pretty. Nice touch to add the embossing to the edges of the card base.

    1. Thank you! I liked the Rose Gold with this color, so after I made the Hello embossed, the front needed more.

    1. Thanks Judy! It was nice to make something other than ideas from the class. I will come back to this set with the Versamark after today’s lesson.

  3. This is so elegant. I love the background and the fact that you’ve kept it so simple but added that little extra detail with the embossing powder. Thanks for joining my challenge at Make My Monday. Love Dawn x
