The challenge at Just Us Girls is to use Brown, Rust and Navy. I stamped the Gerbera Daisy background stamp from Simon Says in Obsidian ink. To color the center flower I used E18, YR27 and YR14. After blending the colors, I added an overlay of R85 & R83 to give it more of a rust color. The blue flowers were colored with B37, B34, and B21. Additional flowers were colored without the R85/R83 overlay. I colored the leaves with YG63 and YG03. To keep them more in the color scheme I went over the leaves with YR24. I also used YR24 in the open spaces to make the flowers pop, then decided the rust flower didn’t show up enough so went over it with E18. I trimmed the background down to 2¼”, then cut a piece of Blue Denim and used a stitched scallop border die, then placed this over a piece of Faded Brick, which was the closest I could get to Rust. The card base is Sandy Beach. The sentiment from Daisy Delight was stamped in Dark Chocolate.

This is lovely! It gives the daisies an autumn feel.
Thanks Lisa. I need a lot of fall birthday cards, so it was good to be able to add to my stash.
GORGEOUS!!!!!!! Beautiful coloring!
Thanks Lisa. It was fun to color, but did take a lot of time and I still didn’t color the whole piece.
Beautiful card and amazing coloring on your daisies, Judy.
Thanks Gayle. It was fun to color
Beautiful card!
Thanks Diana
Wow – this sure pops and I love it. Beautiful colouring. You are pretty good with your markers.
Thanks Johanna. I worked on it over a period of three evenings. I’d color until my hand got tired then set it aside. I do enjoy coloring with Copics – it’s something I can do while watching (or not watching depending on what’s on) TV
Those daisies look fabulous in the challenge colors, Judy. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at Just Us Girls.
This is gorgeous Judy! I love that you used dark colors for gorgeous daisies.
