The Greatest Gift

I did this for the Stay Crafty With Hero Challenge #5 Holiday Headstart. I used a set called The Greatest Gift, CL559. I couldn’t find it in the current Hero Arts catalog, but I did find it on an old stamp inventory I made from 2014. Using my MISTI, I stamped Fabulous Frame by Melanie Muenchinger  for Gina K Designs in Obsidian ink. The Nativity Scene was also inked in Obsidian. I liked the Christmas Blessings sentiment, but it didn’t fit in the oval. So I first inked Christmas in Red Velvet and masked Blessings. Then I masked Christmas and stamped Blessings. Since the Fabulous Frame was released in 2014 and The Greatest Gift is at least that old, I thought this would also work  for the Retro Rubber #133 Anything Goes Challenge. I love being able get a jumpstart on my Christmas cards.

  1. This is beautiful! You did a great job making your greeting fit in that center oval, and the nativity image looks great in the space below it! Perfect pairing of stamps!!

  2. It is a lovely card Judy. I like how you made the sentiment fit where you wanted it. That frame is so useful as it works for so many different ideas.

    1. Thanks Johanna. I’ve used the frame so much one of the corners is torn – but at least it still works. Anna Jernigan and I had a lot of fun with it back in the old STV days.

  3. Lovely Christmas card to add to your Holiday stash, love this Nativity image, beautifully done!!
Thank you for sharing with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, and thank you also for sharing the age of your stamp.
    Hugs.
