I wasn’t sure if I would be able to fit any challenges in this week since I just completed my Easter and Spring cards and they are heading for the mailbox tomorrow. But I did complete the challenge for the Feathers Word Week from Just Us Girls Challenge. So feathers are not really my thing but I received a beautiful card from Johanna using the corner fold card and a napkin recently and Golda also posted a card on her blog with a napkin. My Easter napkins actually had a feather on it so this is what I created and the third time was the charm ( lots of scraps for me to play with after this project). GKD cardstock and patterned paper and the sentiment is from The Northwoods by Theresa Momber. Inside of the fold, I stamped a feather from GKD’s Vintage Chic stamp set. I found a message for the inside that reads “Feathers are reminders that Angels are always near”. This card is going to a cousin who lost her husband a few months ago.

Beautiful card and sentiment.
Thanks so much Judy. Feathers definitely are a challenge to me.
Thanks so much Diana. I appreciate your commenting.
Beauttiful. Great take on the challenge.
I smiled when I saw the corner fold and am glad mine to you inspired you to try one for yourself. Love what you have done and how fortuitous that a napkin came with the feather. Great colours too.
Thanks, Johanna, I was fascinated first by your napkin and then the fold and knew that I would do my best to CASE your card.
This is beautiful and will surely comfort your cousin to know she is in your thoughts. That corner fold is perfect for framing your feather napkin panel. Beautiful sentiment as well.
Thanks, Lisa, I appreciate your support.
Gayle, this is a wonderful card that will definitely encourage your cousin.
Definitely an encouraging card. I have done this fold at least one time. Your’s looks nice.
I’ve never seen the corner fold card before. This looks wonderful, Gayle, and how clever of you to use a napkin for the feather image. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
