Bunny Whimsy

As You See It Challenge #222

The As You See It Challenge is a recipe which needs to include Flowers, Die cut or Punch, Ribbon or Twine, Something Shiny and Patterned Paper. My rule of the day is to read all of the instructions and check them off before gluing to card front. My card includes a Sweet n Sassy Benjamin Bunny with a flower pot (check), butterflies punch and mat under sentiment – shiny gold cardstock and punch (check, check), patterned paper….where is the patterned paper? I originally found some really really cute ribbon with carrots on it and made that my panel, taped everything down and realized NO patterned paper. Disassembled card front carefully except for the upper corner with received another shiny butterfly. Added my flower patterned paper from GKD’s Bold & Blooming paper pack and re-assembled my card. (check). The ribbon is now the bow on bunny (check) . I do think I completed the recipe for whimsy. The butterfly punches are Martha Stewart, Key Lime cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon are all GKD. The gold mirror paper was a find at my Michael’s and the egg embossing folder is from Darice.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day. Stay Safe.

    1. Thanks Lisa, I couldn’t believe I missed the patterned paper. I was just lucky to have all the layers come off easily.

  1. And a sweet interpretation of the recipe it is too! I enjoyed reading of the development of the card and glad to know other people have those problems too. I once got all ready to post a colour challenge and realised that I’d got one of the colour wrong! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenge again.

  2. Great card, a good story and a good save too. Aren’t we geniuses? If this is for one of the grandkids they will love it. Bright, cheerful and cute all things kids adore.

    1. Ha-ha not sure if I fit in the genius category but I was glad to have saved the project. Yes this one will go to either my grands or friend’s grands.

  3. Darling card. Love the story about how it came together. Looks like you got all the ingredients for a successful challenge card.

    1. Thanks, Golda, I was happy with the card and was glad I was able to meet the challenge requirements.

  4. What a great Easter card for a child! I have 6 grandkids and I have to get on track, but I have very view “Easter” images! I love how you salvaged the challenge and your card looks great! Thanks for playing along with As You See It Challenges!

    1. Thanks for another fun challenge. I love making cards for our grandkids and friends grandchildren too.
