Spring has sprung so it’s time to get working on those spring and Easter cards. With the Double D Challenge of Welcome Spring and their inspiring Mood Board, I felt motivated enough to move away from the news and create. My card uses some new to me products from SSS including the Brutus Monroe Burst stencil, SSS’s Layered Tulips stencil and an oldie stamp set sentiment from GKD’s Spring Blessings set. The tulip stencil is a four piece layering stencil which is quite a challenge for me in itself. My stems are dark because someone pulled dark sage instead of fresh asparagus ink….yikes….oh well….they are healthy stems. I also added a little bit of light blue to the background so it wasn’t so white. I think I’ll add clouds on my next attempt using my go to cloud stencil by our Bonnie.

Beautiful card – I do love the idea of the fluffy cards in the background.
Gayle, this is beautiful! I love the look you got with your tulips.
Beautiful! Love those tulips.
Your tulips are gorgeous. I was tempted to get the stencil, but I just got the tulip and matching die from Hero Arts.
Gorgeous card Gayle. Those tulips are really pretty and I like your sun rays with the sentiment in the middle. Very creative.
WOW SPRING is in the air and it shows in this most gorgeous card, thanks for entering our fabulous challenge and good luck in the draw and hope you join us again.

Just beautiful, Gayle! You can nearly see the tulips swaying in a gentle breeze!
