The As You See It Challenge #221 is a Fill In The Blank: My favorite type of card to send is…..a HOLIDAY card. Give me a holiday and yes you will get a card. So much fun to create cards for holidays and different seasons. So today’s card is using a fun fold that Buddy Johanna forwarded to me (sorry I lost the link to the original card which used a sailing theme). The window part that makes the card free standing tucks under the horseshoe and you can slip it out to make it lay flat. It is a larger card and does need extra postage but after my original draft and some extra reading I think it turned out pretty nicely. So the cardstock and patterned paper is GKD, not sure of my fancy shamrock die on the front, the Lucky Horseshoe with flowers are Cheapo Dies, inside I used Playful Leprechauns is from Tutti Designs and the shamrock stencil was found on Amazon for cake decorating. The inside sentiment is from Colorado Craft Company’s Lovely Legs.

Pretty fold! Holiday cards are great too. I don’t think I’ve ever made a St Patrick’s Day card, but then no-one I know is of Irish descent. The bright greens are fun and I like how the elegant black and white DSP carries on the theme but stops the green from dominating. Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenge.
