I started with a strip of Ivory card stock and stamped the anchor and sentiment from the set “My Anchor” by Gina K Designs in Blue Denim ink. Taking another piece of ivory card stock I used the stripe stencil also by Gina K Designs and sponged with In the Navy ink. The stripes are not as dark as I’d originally planned, but I like the contrast with the lighter stripes. I matted both panels with Blue Denim card stock on a heavy weight Ivory card base. Yes, the lighter stripes do work wonderfully with your design.
Thanks Bonnie.
Your stripes are perfect. Love the postage stamp edge of your die. Super masculine card!
Thanks Lisa. I just recently got that postage stamp die from Simon Says and I’m really liking it.
Judy, this is lovely! Love the angled stripes with the anchor image.
Thanks Golda. I think the stripes really work well with the anchor.
Love this! These are the “in” colors for this year!
Thanks Diana. I forgot Blue was THE color this year.
The ombre stripes as well as your design are a hit with me. Great card.
Thanks Gayle
Love this!! I think the lighter stripes are perfect.
Thanks Gerry. I was disappointed at first that I didn’t get them darker, but I liked the finished result.
This is a fabulous nautical card. I love the blue diagonal stripes with the anchor. Thanks for playing with us at JUGS!
