My Favorite Things Sketch

This is the first time I have created with a MFT Sketch during the challenge time. I love their sketches and have used them previously.

I flipped the sketch from portrait to landscape. My bird is from Stampin Up Flying Home. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life club member freebie. I needed a small sentiment for the bird and this little set had the perfect size of sentiment. The bird is a red rubber stamp with the bird and the tree limb all one stamp. I colored it with markers. I used Midnight Muse for the bird, Chocolate Chip for the branch, and two green colors for the leaves. I used the Seaside Embossing Folder on a piece of Naturals White cardstock embossing it in the direction to match the limb.

I own a few MFT stamps, but none seemed to be what I was looking for. This will be posted to Mod Squad Challenge and the MISTI challenge at Split Coast Stampers.

  1. This is a simple but effective card and the embossed piece adds so much interest. Love that little bird image and your colouring is perfect.

  2. This is lovely, Lisa, all of the touches with the embossed layer, ribbon and layered circles really add so much to your finished card.

    1. I always enjoy the cards you make with the sketch, so I finally gave one a try. I have two cards, but only submitted this one. The other one I changed the shape to a rectangle and didn’t see any other shape changes, so I didn’t post it to their gallery. It still worked for Mod Squad.
