Butterfly Banners

Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC222

My card today will be entered into the Sunday Stamps SSC222 “Have a Banner of a Time” sketch challenge.

My background was created from my all time favorite DCWV The Mariposa Stack patterned paper pack, the banners were created using Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder and the sentiment is a GKD Block Greetings stamp set. Both the block stamp and sentiment were heat embossed using Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold embossing powder. The ends of the banners were punched using a Martha Stewart corner butterfly punch then trimmed down the banner. A gold cording completes this card.

I’ll be sending this one out as a sympathy card. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Thanks, Lisa, I was thinking I should have cut that block down a little bit more but too late once I taped it down. Thanks again.

  1. I love this as much as the others do. I think it is perfect as is. PP is lovely and the gold touch is just right. Clever use of the butterfly corner punch as it makes your banners really different than anyone else’s Well done!

    1. Thanks, Johanna, I was hoping this would come together and that I wouldn’t clip any of the butterfly wings when trimming the banners.

  2. Wow, what a lovely card – so many pretty elements in this composition – very calming and elegant! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

  3. I love your interesting butterfly tips on the banners, which compliments then paper perfectly. Very lovely! Thank you for joining Sunday Stamps this week.
