Charlie Brown Brings me Joy

The As You See it Challenge is to finish the sentence: _________ Brings me Joy. I chose Charlie Brown. Watching Charlie Brown videos for any holiday is a long time tradition in my family. I have been married 28 years and I can’t remember a holiday we have missed, especially Christmas.

I have a very old Charlie Brown stamp from Stampabilities called Peanuts Gang Caroling. The woodgrain stamp is Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain. I colored the Charlie Brown characters with SU Watercolor Pencils. I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear powder. The woodgrain is stamped with Memento Desert Sand ink.

This is a large part of our families life. I think after the VHS viewer dies, then the DVD player, we will begin purchasing streaming video.

    1. I have several Charlie Brown stamps and often forget about them. Something finally clicked that we do have a tradition of sorts and Charlie to the rescue. Thanks!

  1. Super card depicting a great family tradition. We love Charlie Brown and all the Peanuts gang. Now I gotta dig out my Peanuts stamps.

  2. Lisa, this is a fantastic card and that is a great tradition, too. The wood grain around your scene makes it look even more like a Charlie Brown theme.

  3. What a lovely tradition! Funny how movies and Christmas go together. I think for us it will be Love, Actually again. 🙂
The woodgrain and neutrals really focus the eye on the Charlie Brown characters. Lovely design. Thank you for playing along with us again at As You See It. Merry Christmas!
