Today’s card will be entered into the StampTV September Monthly Mix Challenge hosted by Karen to create a Fall themed card with background paper. My card uses the designer paper from GKD’s Autumn Landscape patterned paper pack, dark chocolate cardstock, wild lilac ink, Thankful Leaves stamp set and dies and Skeleton Leaves stamp set.
I die cut one of the leaves from the dark chocolate and layered white cardstock to show the patterned paper beneath it, then stamped one leaf on patterned paper and the other in ink.
The September Challenge can be found here: https://www.ginakdesigns.com/2019/09/02/september-2019-monthly-mix-challenge/
Beautiful card!
Thanks, Diana, it was a good way to use some of my patterned paper stacks.
LOVE IT!!! What a perfect fall card.
Thanks so much, Gerry, I liked the way it turned out and after today we will be enjoying a fall weather preview.
So cool how you played with the die to make some leaves solid but others cut out.
Thanks, Bonnie, I enjoy die cuts and the options with them.
Beautiful card, Gayle! Love the layout!
Thanks so much Jan, I did CASE this from cards I saw on Pinterest. I wish I would have had a larger leaf die though.
Lovely fall card. I like how you used the die to let the pattern paper show through.
Thanks so much Judy. I love the colors of fall and actually like how the card turned out.
Gayle, this is lovely. I like the different patterned leaves together.
Thanks so much Golda, I was hoping that the combination of leaves would come together nicely.
I like your idea. Such a lovely card!
Thanks, Lisa, I found the idea on Pinterest.
Love this card Gayle. I really like how you used the die cut to show the PP through – very clever and a great idea.
Thanks, Johanna, I seem to be a patterned paper junkie and this challenge was a great way to use it. I wish my leaf was larger but all in all I like the way it turned out.
