Love What you Do

http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/2019/10/challenge-212-i-want-you-to-colour-me.html

I worked on the As You See It speed challenge. It took a total of 7 minutes and 25 seconds. The cardbase was laying there scored, so I used it.

The stamp set used is SU Love What You Do. I used Lawn Fawn Blue Jay ink for the flower and greeting, Forget-me-Not for the background wash. Since this set had a stamp that was basically a wash of color, it made this challenge a lot easier. I tried using an ornament set with a punch. Stamping the ornament and punching it out took eight minutes, then there was a greeting, so I was out of time on that one. I will most likely finish it at a slower pace.

Stenciled Waves

Stenciled Waves

This is for the Mod Squad challenge: http://modsquadchallenge.com/stenciled-background-tag-or-card/

Details: Stencil is called Waves from A Colorful Life: https://acolorfullifedesigns.com/waves/

I used Lawn Fawn inks: Moonstone, Forget Me Not, and Fish Tank in blending the color onto the stencil.

The Frame was created with a Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain woodblock stamp. I have had it for well over 10 years and it worked perfect for the frame. The brads on the frame are Gina K Designs from my stash, and the ink is Warm Cocoa also GKD.

The fish and sea creatures are from The Stamps of Life, Under the Sea. It is from an online class, so it is not available to purchase.

I had fun making this card. It is a 6 X 6 inch card to accommodate the stencil size. I didn’t want to cut it down once I finished stenciling it. This is the first time using A Colorful Life stencils. I like them and they are good quality.

Update from Mod Squad…This card was selected as a Top 3 winner.

Floral Hello and Hugs

I saw a video with My Favorite Things and then applied the idea to a Monochromatic Challenge with Split Coast Stampers. After looking at the items I used, I decided to use it with the Retro Challenge. https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2019/08/challenge-117-anything-goes.html Here is the challenge label: RRCB117

Monochromatic Card One RRCB117

The stamp set used is called Obsessed with Floral by Unity Stamp Company. I believe it came to my home in June, 2018. The die is Scripty Hello from Lawn Fawn, which has been in my home for around a year, but was released in 2014 or 2015.

The paper is Gina K Designs: Layering Weight White, Moonlit Fog, and Slate.

With cutting into one inch strips, this has pieces for two cards. The next one has Hugs on it.

Monochromatic Card Two

It is always fun to make two cards from one idea.

All Aboat You

CAS544 All Aboat You

Stamps: SU High Tide, TSOL sailboat2stamp

Inks: GKD Kraft, Lawn Fawn: Deep Sea, Fish Tank, Blue Jay, Lobster, Memento Tuxedo Black

This challenge, on Split Coast Stampers, was to make a Clean and Simple card using water in some way. I knew I wanted to use the sailboat, but hadn’t figured out the water. I watched a video by Connie Stewart showing eight different ways to ground an image. One was to mask the image and stamp something on top of it. I went to my stamp arsenol and found the High Tide stamp set and it had everything I wanted for the boat. It had a nice image of water and lovely birds. I enjoy finding items in my vast array of stamps from many companies that work well together. I used to do this all of the time, but got away from it for a few years. I am so glad those ideas are coming back into my brain.

Eclipse card

I have never made an eclipse card before till yesterday. This card was entered in this week’s Mod Squad Challenge.

Tropical Hugs

All inks used are Lawn Fawn as well as the word “hugs”, from their Scripty Hugs die. The stamps are Gina K Designs Tropical Blooms.

You Inspire Me

I love color challenges and played along with one from Split Coast Stampers.

You Inspire Me

I used the stamp set Flutter By from Lawn Fawn. The ink colors are Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, and Call Me Clover, all SU colors. I used these colors with a blender pen. This is the first time I used this stamp set. It is a nice set with a lot of possibilities, so you will see it again hopefully soon.

I will be posting this on Simon Says Stamp blog with the Anything Goes challenge: https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-62/
