Continuing through the Alphabet

I had to look and see the last alphabet challenge card I posted and it was V. I will share W, X, and Y for you to see.

For W, I chose the state of Washington. The state fruit is the red apple. I had fun creating this with the Apple Harvest stamp and die set from Stampin Up.

I used Lawn Fawn’s Ahoy Matey stamp set for this card. I found several cards on Pinterest which I combined to create this. One card had directions to create the treasure map, so I used her directions to create the paper that looked old. I followed her directions and Tombow marker colors for coloring my images. I used a few other cards to help with the layout. I enjoyed creating this card. It was mailed today to my BIL for his birthday.

My destination for Y is Yakama, Washington. They produce 50% of the Concord Grapes used in grape juice. I used Lawn Fawn Year Ten set for this card along with the newest Embroidery die set. The gingham paper is Gina K Designs along with matching cardstock. This was fun to create.

I am in the last week of the challenge for the letter Z. I have enjoyed creating these cards as I often had to think about where to go, what to use, and how to create the card. Sometimes I searched for ideas and other times, I just looked in my stash. Thanks for sharing in these creations.

Vegetable Garden

I am continuing my alphabet challenge and this week was the letter V. The title gave this card away.

This card will be added to the Crazy is our fame – Stencils challenge: https://stencilfun.blogspot.com/2024/05/may-2024-stencil-fun-challenge.html

I will also add this to Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes challenge: https://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2024/05/anything-goes-weeks-647-648.html

The stencil used is from Newton’s Nook. I used a couple of ink pads, one Gina K Designs and the other Hero Arts. I added a fence using a Gina K Designs fence die, very retired. The Veggies, speech bubble, and part of the greeting are from Lawn Fawn. The word Vegtastic was stamped with an alphabet stamp from Your Next Stamp, with the word made up by me. I fussy cut the speech bubble and the vegetables. I used a card of the Lawn Fawn blog for inspiration.

I am not a gardener but can be a wonderful one on paper. Thanks for sharing in my creations.

Polka Dot Birthday

I needed a masculine birthday card. I went to my stash of items already cut and created a card.

This will be entered in the Double D Challenge Polka Dots: https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2024/05/polka-dots.html

I will also enter this in the Can You Handle the Pressure: https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/05/may-11th-2024-anything-goes-with-twist.html

All of the items used are Stampin Up, most retired, but some colors are still available. The banner die I used is Lawn Fawn.

I struggle with masculine cards a lot, but this finally clicked and was easy to create.

State Fair

I have been working on this card for three days. I finally finished it and will share it now.

This week is the S location for the alphabet challenge I have been participating. I started with the thought process of heading to Six Flags, so out came the Lawn Fawn stamp sets that were ride oriented. As I kept adding more and more elements, I realized that it fit a fair better than the amusement park I remember. So I turned it into a State Fair.

I used three Lawn Fawn sets on this card: Wheely Great Day, Coastal Critters, Coastal Critters Flip-Flop. The colors used for the background are also Lawn Fawn inks. I used a sunray stencil from Spellbinders for the sky. I saw this idea on Pinterest and changed it a little.

This will be entered in Crazy is our fame challenge: https://stencilfun.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-stencil-fun-challenge.html

I will also enter it in Word Art Wednesday: https://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2024/04/anything-goes-weeks-645-646.html

The alphabet challenge has become one of my favorite challenges to participate in. I like finding new ways to use the many sets in my stash, or like this time, borrowing from my daughter’s stash.

Happy Flower

I took time to create this card using the weekly colors at Splitcoast Stampers and my Lawn Fawn die. I will be entering this card in Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes.

The colors used are Lemon Lolly, Polished Pink, Parakeet Party, and neutrals of Misty Moonlight, and Crumb Cake. This was the first time I used this die. I really enjoyed creating the flower, so will definitely create more flowers. I didn’t place a greeting on the card as I have no idea when I will send it or for what occasion.

I am enjoying Spring with the warmer weather and sunshine. Now, we are scheduled for a few storms, but that means I will be in my craft room creating. Virtual Stamp Night begins Friday and goes through Saturday. I am a hostess for one challenge. I completed my samples but have not made samples for any other challenges. I will hopefully get a few created. Thanks for coming by and seeing my creation.

St. Patrick’s Day Stitching

I have fallen in love with stitching again. As a young woman, I stitched a lot. I made all sorts of home decor, gifts, and even added stitching to sweatshirts. Now, many years later, there are several dies to create stitching on. I will focus on Lawn Fawn with the focal of this card.

The pattern came from Lawn Fawn. They have several patterns available to use that fit their dies perfectly. I placed the shamrock on a Circle Flip-it Die Cut. I used my very retired Sizzix/The Stamps of Life die to cut the card base. The colors I chose for the card are SU Lemon Lime Twist with matching patterned paper. The shamrocks along the border were from Lawn Fawn also. I made the one at the top with heart dies.

I will add this to the Colorful Options March challenge: https://colorfuloptions.blogspot.com/2024/03/march-2024.html

I hope to continue adding stitching to cards. My family shopped for me to select the floss colors on my list, so I have no excuses. Thanks for coming by and seeing my card.

You Octopi my Heart

I made a card with a heart and it fits perfectly with the current Double D Challenge.

I used the Lawn Fawn Octopi my Heart stamp. The colored papers and printed one are from SU and the white is Accent White. I fussy cut the images I colored as I do not own the matching dies.

Thanks for stopping by. This card was created with the February Crafter’s of Faith challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

Emerald Coast Seahorses

I have been participating is an alphabet challenge this year. I get to select my destination and this week’s letter is E. With my husband’s help, I chose the Emerald Coast of Florida. Seahorses live in the Panhandle area of Florida, which is in the Emerald Coast.

The stencil used is from LDRS Creative, called Under the Sea. I used an assortment of Lawn Fawn inks on the stencil, placing the stencil on Bristol Smooth paper. The seahorses, greeting, and water droplets are all from Lawn Fawn Seahorsin’ Around set. I had these seahorses colored and cut out sitting in my stamp pocket waiting to be used.

This will be entered in: https://stencilfun.blogspot.com/2024/01/january-2024-stencil-fun.html

I chose the optional challenge without birds. I may have to come back when I have time and create a card with birds and a stencil for this challenge.

I am also adding this to Word Art Wednesday as the sponsor is Lawn Fawn.

https://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2024/01/anything-goes-weeks-629-630.html

The challenge is Anything Goes this time. I like how I managed to use a Lawn Fawn set.

I have been busy recently taking care of household things, as well as creating this month’s cards for the Splitcoaststampers.com Dirty Dozen monthly reveal. I participated in January’s challenge which will be live on January 15. You can view the cards there, if you join the fan club.

Thanks for sharing in my card. I am enjoying this challenge as it is stretching my creativity finding a destination that I can create something for.
