WCMD 2019 with Joy Clair Challenge 3

This is my final entry for the Joy Clair challenges. Here is the challenge: https://joyclair.typepad.com/blog/2019/10/world-card-making-day-2019-with-joy-clair-challenge-3.html

Basically, I covered a box, decorating it for a birthday. I used patterned paper, cardstock pieces, and a stamp set all from Gina K Designs. This is all from the Birthday Hoot set and matching papers.

You can see two of the sides that have added items. The other two sides have the ribbon and nothing else. I do not remember covering a box before, so this is new. Rather than do much to the box itself, I placed the decorations where it wouldn’t interfere with the lid closing. This was fun and different.

World Card Making Day Card

I did complete a card on World Card Making Day. The stamp set used is Martha’s Flowers from Joy Clair.

I have used this maybe one time and had quite a few pieces ready to watercolor. I chose one and began coloring. I used Stampin Up watercolor pencils. This will be linked to the Joy Clair challenge #2: https://joyclair.typepad.com/blog/2019/10/world-card-making-day-2019-with-joy-clair-challenge-2.html

This was the only card I created on World Card Making Day. It was enough for me.

Update on November 1…this card won a prize in the World Card Making Day challenge with Joy Clair. https://joyclair.typepad.com/blog/2019/10/time-for-winners.html

Stamps set used: Blossom by Joy Clair, Ink used: Versamark, Paper used: GKD Grass Green, Fresh Asparagus, Used Spellbinders Label Number 9 die, Tombow marker #177

This card will be entered in the Mod Squad Challenge. I struggle with using green, so I pulled out every green piece of paper I owned, then ink, then decided to keep it simple and go with Versamark. I do like the cactus in this stamp set. I think they might be fun to color.
