Fruit Wreath

I was inspired to create today, so this is my second card. This card will be entered in three challenges.

The Double Trouble challenge is to use a die cut or punch and then you meet Thing 2’s challenge to add woodgrain. They are collaborating with Use Your Stuff which is about woodgrain. Power Poppy challenge is to use fruit or vegetables on your card.

I used the Sizzix/Tim Holtz 3-D Lumber embossing folder on my background. I used a natural colored cardstock from My Favorite Things for the embossing then inked it with Gina K Designs Warm Cocoa ink. I decided a wreath would be a good addition for the die cutting. These dies are from Stampin’Up, called Arrange a Wreath. I placed my fruit image in the middle of the wreath for the Power Poppy challenge. My image is from the set called Feeling Fall. I colored it with alcohol markers a week ago and then left it sit till I was inspired to use it. The greeting came from Gina K Designs Star Flower, which I inked with Slate ink.

I really like how this card turned out. I enjoyed piecing so many products together, which is something I struggle with.

Fruity Birthday

I have another card that I created with fruit for the Mod Squad Challenge. It has been posted from Split Coast Stampers. I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge.

The oranges came from You’re the Sweetest and the leaves from Anemone Wishes, both from Gina K Designs. The sentiment came from a Hero Arts set.

I saw this idea on Pinterest and it looked fun to create. I used SU Tangerine Twist ink, marker, and cardstock on this card. The green leaves are Fresh Asparagus ink and cardstock from Gina K Designs. The ribbon is Old Olive. I made the stripes using a ruler and marker. I cut the orange slices with a 1 3/4 inch circle punch, then sliced a few in half. This was fun to create. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Fruity Thanks

This card was created for the Mod Squad Challenge using fruit and the Paper Smooches challenge of Anything Goes.

For the fruit I used You’re the Sweetest by Gina K Designs. I remember this set coming from a kit released in 2014. It was a favorite and I still pull it out and enjoy stamping with it. The leaf stamp is from Cute Fruit by Paper Smooches. I needed a leaf and this set has a couple of choices which worked perfectly. The sentiment is from Positive Vibes by MayMay Made It.

New dies arrived in today’s mail and I used them on this card. Gina Marie Designs, Stitched Scalloped Rectangles were a joy to use. I die cut the center, then cut a white piece to stamp the sentiment on and popped it up in the center. I die cut the background with the largest die from the set and didn’t like it on the white card base, so I die cut the entire base to match. I really like the completed scalloped card as it is different that what I normally do and will be a joy to send.

I used Key Lime in both cardstock and ink and Sweet Mango all from Gina K Designs. The yellow is Lawn Fawn Lemonade ink and the solid green leaves are stamped with Stampin Up Granny Apple Green. The card base is Hobby Lobby 110 pound white.
