Give Thanks Wreath

I have been creating with the colors Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Mango Melody for the color challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. I chose to make a wreath which fits right in with Double Trouble Paper Crafting challenge.

In addition to the colors I listed above, I used Soft Suede for the card base as well as the greeting. The stamps and dies were created with SU Arrange a Wreath stamp and die set. I used a retired SU embossing folder in the background. The gold paper is from my stash. I used a gold sharpie marker to color clear gems for the flower centers.

With this challenge, Thing1 said to use a circle or circular element, so my wreath is the circle. Thing3 said to use a fall or Halloween theme, so I chose fall. I missed Thing2 because I placed my greeting in the wrong place. If I had placed it in the center of the wreath, it would have worked. It is still a fun challenge and I enjoyed creating the wreath card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fruit Wreath

I was inspired to create today, so this is my second card. This card will be entered in three challenges.

The Double Trouble challenge is to use a die cut or punch and then you meet Thing 2’s challenge to add woodgrain. They are collaborating with Use Your Stuff which is about woodgrain. Power Poppy challenge is to use fruit or vegetables on your card.

I used the Sizzix/Tim Holtz 3-D Lumber embossing folder on my background. I used a natural colored cardstock from My Favorite Things for the embossing then inked it with Gina K Designs Warm Cocoa ink. I decided a wreath would be a good addition for the die cutting. These dies are from Stampin’Up, called Arrange a Wreath. I placed my fruit image in the middle of the wreath for the Power Poppy challenge. My image is from the set called Feeling Fall. I colored it with alcohol markers a week ago and then left it sit till I was inspired to use it. The greeting came from Gina K Designs Star Flower, which I inked with Slate ink.

I really like how this card turned out. I enjoyed piecing so many products together, which is something I struggle with.

Friend Leaves

Odd title…I think I am sorry a friend is leaving. That is not what this is about. This card is all about leaves that are falling in our yards this time of year. Our leaves have not turned color, yet, but some are falling.

I posted a card yesterday using leaves cut from backgrounds I made with the Polished Stone Technique. I had several leaves cut, so today I was inspired to continue creating with these leaves. I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the base and embossed layer. The background was embossed with the Darice Fall Leaves Swirl EF. The leaves are from the Gina K Designs Stitches Leaves stamp set with matching dies. I embossed the leaves with gold embossing powder. I chose the Hello Friend greeting from a Paper Pumpkin July 2019 kit called On My Mind. I added gold foil to the greeting and embossed layer, which I think really helped bring all of the gold together.

I enjoyed creating this card. I was wanting to continue using those leaves and this came together so easily. This card will also be added to the Double Trouble Paper Crafting use a die or punch. This card uses only dies for this challenge so I posted Thing 1’s badge.
