Floral Hi

I have a card for the As You See It Challenge using their color theme.

I am trying to use stamp sets that I own and not used at all or much. This set was given to me, I put it away, and then didn’t think about it, so it went unused for several months. It is a called Love at All Times, illustrated by Lisa Hetrick for Gina K Designs. Lisa has a sheet on her website available for downloads giving ideas on how to use this set.

I stamped the flowers with Lawn Fawn Peach Fuzz ink. This set has several stamps where you can stamp the flower with color rather than color it with another medium. The dots are stamped with Lawn Fawn Raspberry ink which is a wonderful match for Berry Burst. The dots that are in the center of one of the flowers is inked with a Berry Burst marker, so you can see those two inks match quite well. The image was stamped with Lawn Fawn Storm Cloud ink and the light grey is Gina K Designs Moonlit Fog.

I enjoyed using stamp sets that need to be used. Thanks for reading and sharing in my card.

Red and Pink Umbrella

I have been stamping in red and pink for a color challenge.

For my card, I stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Real Red all placed on white cardstock. My pink looks a bit darker than Flirty Flamingo as it took three times in my MISTI to get a cleanly stamped image. I decided to go with it, rather than start over. The center of the umbrella is in Real Red. The cardbase is Real Red along with designer paper. I have a few sets of DSP purchased from the Clearance Rack and one had was Regal colors which contain Real Red. I chose the side with dots rather then the stripes on the other, to go with the dots in the umbrella.

The stamp set used is umbrella4you along with the umbrella die all from The Stamps of Life. I added a bit of raindrops using gray colors from Lawn Fawn.

All That You Are

Happy Birthday Watercolor

I often participate in challenges with Split Coast Stampers. This card meets two of the challenges this week. It meets WT730 Waters Edge, where I needed to do something with water. I chose to watercolor. The other challenge is CC729 Color Challenge. The colors are Tide Pool, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, and Granny Apple Green, all listed as SU colors. I have few actual SU ink colors, so usually substitute. I used Hero Arts Tide Pool for the blue background. I do own SU watercolor pencils so I used Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green in the pencils, coloring the flowers and leaves. Sweet Corn by Gina K Designs is a match to So Saffron. I did a bit of sponging on the Birthday oval with Lawn Fawn Guava, which is a great match for the Melon Mambo. I even sponged the ribbon. I added a few sequins for something extra. The stamp set used is called All That You Are by SU. I do enjoy watercolor as it gives fast coloring.
