Baseball is a favorite past-time in the summer, and I have been to Busch Stadium a few times to watch the Cardinals in action. This was created for a challenge at Split Coast Stampers depicting Summer in the City. I made sure that the stars I added had stitching lines to meet the D and D Challenge of stitching.

I used a digital image from Power Poppy called Baseball Vignette Digital. I resized the image and printed it on our laser printer on Gina K Designs Layering Weight cardstock. When the toner was dry, I was able to color the image with alcohol markers. I fussy cut the image out and placed it on my cardbase with foam squares. I added stars all around with The Stamps of Life Stitched Stars dies; this is the smallest star in the set. Before cutting, I applied Sizzix adhesive sheets to the back side of the cardstock, this way the stars became a sticker.

Thanks for a fun contest!
