Diamond Anniversary

My husband’s aunt and uncle celebrated their 60th anniversary this week. My task was to make an anniversary card marking this milestone and celebrating their love. I found a card on Split Coast Stampers that gave me the needed inspiration: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2662336?&si=diamond+anniversary

Following is my card. For the front, I used the bird builder punch, retired from Stampin Up, Stitched Season Framelits retired Stampin Up, silver foil and glitter paper from Hobby Lobby, a Spellbinder’s circle die, and a set from Maymay Made It called From All of Us. The Darice Floral Vines embossing folder was used for texture. The birds eyes are clear rhinestone embellishments that I used a black alcohol marker to give them color.

Diamond Anniversary Front

Following is the inside. I used How Many? from Maymay Made It, and Best Wishes from Hero Arts. The paper used for the card is Heavy Base and Layering Weight Ivory cardstock from Gina K Designs.

Diamond Anniversary Inside

You can’t tell it in the photo, but I added glitter to the number and exclamation point using a Glitter Gel Pen. Now we need to sign and mail the card.

Up and Away

I have been stamping with Lift Me Up by Stampin’Up! and created several cards.

Birthday

I saw the above idea on Split Coast Stampers. It has a smaller card base so the hot air balloon could go off of the page and fit in a standard A2 envelope.

Love in the Air!

This was created with Do Stamping with Dawn, using her layout on her blog. I will keep this and send it for someone’s anniversary or save for Valentine’s Day.

One Layer with Dimension

This was placed in the Mod Squad Challenge Blog in the One Layer Card challenge. This particular view has a balloon that is popped up with foam squares. The photo on Mod Squad is all flat with no popped up images. I saw this idea on Pinterest. The inks used are mostly Lawn Fawn and one Stampin Up ink pad.

Beach Happy

Using the Beach Happy set by Stampin’Up!, I have been creating several cards. None of these cards are my original designs. All are from demonstrators and their blogs, Pinterest, or You Tube channels.

Anniversary card

My husband and I just celebrated our 28th anniversary. The colors of our wedding were peach and teal, so I made the chairs in those colors. In the photo, the peach one likes more orange, but it is stamped with Hero Arts Peach ink pad.

The last three cards were created from Stamp With Lisa. I basically followed her idea, using what supplies I had available. I must be dreaming of warmer weather.

Amazing Butterflies

Rainbow of Butterflies

This is for the Monthly Mix Challenge with Gina K Designs.
https://www.ginakdesigns.com/2019/05/01/may-2019-monthly-mix-challenge/

I used the butterfly die from GKD, along with 2 stamp sets, A Beautiful Life and Keep Calm. The words “you are” is from A Beautiful Life; I masked the “a” off of the image. The word “AMAZING” had the word “BE” with it, so I masked the BE off; this is from Keep Calm. I used the GKD/Thermoweb oval die in the largest size to layer the butterflies on.

Thanks for looking at my rainbow of butterflies.

Camellia One in a Million

Camellia

This card is for two challenges, Power Poppy and Paper Smooches.

The Power Poppy challenge is all about emboss resist. I chose to place my flowers around the border. They are watercolored with pink toned Stampin’Up markers and a water brush.

The Paper Smooches challenge is to use flowers on your card. I chose to use the Kindness Sampler set for my greeting.

Camellia One in a Million

Power Poppy has a challenge to use emboss resist. I chose to use the Simply Camellias stamp set, along with a Paper Smooches greeting from Kindness Sampler. This card will go along with both challenges.

Camellia

I decided to place the flowers as a border with the greeting in the middle. I colored the flowers with Stampin’Up markers, that were from 2002. They still work great and were quite easy to add a bit of water to spread the color.

Beautiful Day

I am creating along with Connie Stewart at simplystamping.com, with her Saturday idea. I do not have the stamp she is using, so I pulled from my stash.

Stamps used: Kindness Sampler from Paper Smooches, Happy Hibiscus from Maymay Made It. Paper is Gina K Designs: White layering Weight, Key Lime. Ink is GKD: Passionate Pink, Blue Lagoon, Keylime, Black Onyx, and SU Mango Melody. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Beautiful Day inside

This will be entered in the May Paper Smooches challenge which is using flowers. I needed to use one Paper Smooches stamp to fit the rules of the challenge.

This will also be entered in the May is for Makin’ from Maymay Made It. It has been a hard month at times to just sit and stamp, so that is why I am posting with Maymay. I enjoyed sitting and stamping following a video idea.

Color Challenge CC738

I sometimes play along with the color challenge on Split Coast Stampers. I really like this week’s colors: Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo. I have several SU markers and a few ink pads now, but before these, I converted the colors to Gina K Designs colors or Lawn Fawn. Crushed Curry matched Prickly Pear quite well, Granny Apple Green matches Key Lime. I do not have any matches listed for Melon Mambo, but it is a very bright pink. This time I used the SU colors watercoloring with markers and a water brush.

Thinking of You
Always makes me Smile

Stamp sets used are All That you Are by Stampin’Up, and Blessed Inside and Out by Maymay Made It. I stamped off one time on the inside. I am still getting used to this inkpad and if I do this again, I think I will stamp off two times and make the flower lighter. These are nice colors and were fun to work with.

Paper Pumpkin alternate idea

I saw a video showing alternate idea for the April Paper Pumpkin, by Tami White. I had to give her idea try as it is quite easy.

Yellow Thinking of You
Wisteria Wonder Just Because

Both cards use the Paper Pumpkin set and GKD Tiny Textures. The cardstock for the yellow card is GKD Wild Dandelion. The Wisteria one is SU Wisteria Wonder cardstock. The white is Spectrum Noir cardstock. The stitched rectangle die is from The Stamps of Life.

I followed Tami’s directions and used the sets that I have. She used an SU set that has a splatter image, so I pulled out the Tiny Textures splatter and inked it partially with Moonlit Fog ink, stamped off one time before stamping on the main image.
