So May seems to be a month of numbers for my husband and myself. First it was his birthday and then our wedding anniversary. So my cards have all included die cut numbers — very little stamping but lots of dies and layers. Thanks for looking.

This card was for my husband and his 64th birthday. Now I can consider him a classic like his 1964 Pontiac GTO. The image for the GTO was a computer image. He really got quite a kick of our this card.

This is a Mother’s Day card for my daughter and will also be entered into the StampTV May 2019 Monthly Mix Challenge to include “Wings” and a gold option. I used a butterfly from GKD’s Birthday Blessings stamp set and the Love sentiment is from Simple Hearts stamped with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. Cardstock is also from GKD, stencil by Bonnie and patterned paper is from my favorite DCWV paper pack.

Baby Girl cards for a new mom and dad, grandparents and the big sister! One of my dear friends shared the birth of her newest granddaughter this past weekend. I used a variety of stamps: The baby elephant and giraffe are a Lori Whitlock Sizzix framelits w/stamp set; my blocks on the Big Sister card is a Gina K Oh Baby! set by Rupa Shevde, and a variety of unknowns. These cards were a little bit of this and a little bit of that but I was happy on the way they turned out. Both the Cute and Cuddly as well as the Big Sister card are 5″x7″ cards….sometimes you just need a larger than A2 size card.
One of my favorite GKD stamp sets is Bold & Blooming which is going out to someone special. I also used GKD’s Dazzling Dahlia for the sentiment. I think I could have used a larger sentiment to fill in more of the white space area. Card base is blue lagoon and layered with turquoise sea and white card stock. I stamped this with my favorite go VersaFine Onyx Black ink to which I added clear embossing powder and heat set ,added a few sequins and my Stampin up! colored pencils.

The April Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K Designs is ombre ink blending. This is my third attempt but hopefully it fits the challenge. I used GKD’s Elegant Florals and Stippled Flowers for the sentiment, cardstock used was dusty rose, slate and pure white pure luxury.

A selection of my Easter cards this year include a well used set from Pretty Pink Posh. I love the frame die which cut beautifully and the egg designs…whew a lot of coloring for me but they were fun to create. I also have a sweet little Easter Lucy from C.C. Designs and an old stand by from GKD’s Asela Hopkins Chocolate Bunnies. A peek-a-boo egg card for some little ones was also Pretty Pink Posh.
I’m finally getting around to posting some more cards and would like to begin with this one featuring my newest stencil thanks to our wonderful Stamping Buddies Bonnie. The image is from GKD’s Blooming with Blessings stamp set as well as the card stock and ink. I also used Hero Arts’s Happy Stamp and Cut set layering it and offsetting as well as coating the Happy with some glossy accents. My puddle is glue and glitter.

Congrats to this sweet little boy. His parents are Navy Chiefs and hope they enjoy my play on the stars and stripes.
