Summer Dreams

The bags aren’t packed and I’m not taking off for a vacation but if I made this card two weeks earlier I could have given it to my daughter and family for their Hawaiian vacation….tsunami and all!! My summer vacation theme card begins with an American Crafts Perfect Vacation paper pad that has been in my stash forever. The two patterned papers chosen were die cut with Taylored Expressions’ All Planned Out 1 die set and I added Sunny Studio’s Sending Sunshine stamp/die in a double stitched circle while popping up the sentiment from the same set. Fun patterned paper and I will be sharing my card with:

Love those Pretty Papers August Challenge

The vacationers and the islands were spared from the tsunami and maybe a one day trip to the Jersey Shore in September for me. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Bloomin’ Smiles

An adorably cute image from Unity Stamps (Lil’ Bloomer) is the focal point on my clean and simple card today. After coloring my little mouse with some markers, I used a Taylored Expressions Easy Edges die for the scalloped edge and layered this on a yellow notecard. Sentiment is from a Gina K Designs stamp set You Make Me Smile. And smiling I was because there are no inky finger smudges on this card! Phew!!!

My Scene

Make way for another Halloween card for my stash! A fun one to make using Whimsy Stamps BOO-keh paper pad and sentiment strips while my Ghost Town Border is a Taylored Expressions product as are the Wavy Stitched Stacklet that impressed the stitching on the notecard and Squiggly Stacklets which was used to die cut my layering patterned paper. This was all popped up on some green cardstock and a little sparkle from Wink of Stella.

I was very tempted to use the boots as my inspiration but opted for the haunted house…..this time! Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care; stay safe. Keep COOL!

Bookish

After using Colorful Options August challenge mood board as for my inspiration, this is the card I made. Autumn Is Calling stamp/die set from Rabbit Hole Designs, Taylored Expressions Garden Trellis embossing folder embossed on a wood grained patterned paper and swiped lightly with black ink. A circle die cut piece of vellum to help separate the focal image from the background. My colors are a combination of the two sets provided. I always seem to need a pop of color in my neutrals.

Underwater Fun

My card today was completed using Whimsy Stamps Bubbly A2 die, Coral Reef patterned paper, Impression Obsession snorkeler and TPC Studio Undersea Adventures clear stamp set. Images were fussy cut. I am loving this patterned paper from Whimsy. This card may go to our youngest grandchild for his 3rd birthday but nonetheless it will be shared with:

Golden Flakes

As You See It Challenge: Challenge #353 – A Recipe for a Gala is the challenge I decided to play in today. I have included Black shimmer cardstock on a white notecard, Taylored Expressions Beautiful Blizzard Foil Its which was foiled with Gina K Designs Fancy Foil using my Fuse Foiling System machine from GKD, a gold shimmer die cut snowflake (maybe SimonSaysStamp), TE sentiment stamped in VersaFine Clair and clear heat embossed and die cut and finally a five black gems scattered on my card.

Hopefully I fullfilled the recipe for this challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay cool and safe.

Boho Pots

The theme is flower pots and I die cut a Taylored Expressions Boho Pot die in grey added a bit of color around the edges and some splatter. The pot needed a flower so another TE stamp that was masked off and colored in this big bloom. The pot needed a landing spot on the Spellbinder’s oval nestabilities which is landing on TE strips which is landing on a larger Spellbinder’s oval embossed on the layering panel and added more splatter. TE sentiment from my stash added and at last some greens trailing out of my boho pot. This card was CASE’d from an email received from Mary Fish’s Stampin Pretty blog which I could no longer locate. Sorry. I liked her card so gave it a go for the:

Meow!!!

I think I have had one or two of these cats that loved to create havoc. Today’s card uses a Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix stamp, die and embossing folder set names Cat Chat. Perfect for the Can You Handle the Pressure with a theme of cats and/or dogs. Perfect if I would have posted before the deadline???? LOL!!

I finally used the ink blended background which was originally embossed, sanded and then embossed with the Cat Chat yarn embossing folder. Glad to get it off my desk.
