Silhouette in Gray

A bit of a more subdued CAS birthday card today. After cutting a circle stencil, I ink blended Taylored Expressions Oyster ink, then stamped Gina K Designs Friendly’s Silhouette stamp in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Thankfully I left the stamp in the Misti due to someone not making sure the ink was dry on the blended circle. Wiped off the embossing powder, heated the circle to dry the ink, then repeated the inking and embossing steps. Thankfully it worked. After die cutting a new circle panel and trimming to size my card , I curved the birthday sentiment around my circle and added a small butterfly in black which was from GKD’s Fabulous Frame stamp set

My card will be shared with two birthday challenges today:

Simply Clean & Simple: September 2025 – Birthdays

The Sisterhood of Crafters (9/10/25) Birthdays

Batty!!

This is my interpretation for the As You See It Challenge #356 which is a sketch challenge using rectangles and circles.

After quite a bit of thought I switched out the circles for bats punched with a good old Martha Stewart bat punch and three different patterned papers from my stash. Sentiment is Simon Says Stamp’s Happy Haunting stamp set and Taylored Expressions Wavy Stitch Stacklets with a bit of black spatter. I had one tiny piece of orchid cardstock from Gina K Designs and used it as a partial corner backer. A fun challenge and I was so thrilled that my leaf card for last month’s speed challenge was chosen as “Featured Artist”! Thank you so much for the honor and mention.

Staycation Swap

Taylored Expressions’ in person Stamp Joy event also has a Staycation option which is on line classes. I have optioned to do the at home on line classes but have joined in on the cardswap which I’m required to make 10 cards and mail before our event. Since this is a Taylored Expressions event all my products are TE and they include: Time to Grow stamp, stencil and foil it panel from the Combo Club subscription. After foiling the Foil-It panel in Pewter foil, my inks included a variety of fall-ish colors, the completed panel was die cut using All Planned Out 3 die set which included the sentiment and the button. I included a ribbon die cut over the button. The foiled panel was layered on Honey cardstock and the bottom portion is white woodgrain. I made several different cards for my swap but I did really like this one and will share with you and:

Crazy is our Fame – STENCILS are our game: September 2025 Stencil Fun Challenge The optional theme this month is nature.

Boo-fer

It’s a Halloween Two-fer or as my title lists a “Boo-fer”. My top card uses Whimsy Stamps Dreamland 2 quick card fronts patterned paper. Whimsy’s Curly Frame die was used to cut the image which was mounted and adhered to my distress oxide ink blended card front. I’m glad that I did not detach the die pieces because it also cuts a frame which was then cut from black shimmer cardstock for this card. Hope this makes sense. Sentiment was included in the paper pack. I couldn’t seem to stop there so I ink blended another card front with distress oxide inks…..gosh I need to pull these out a bit more as I was so happy with the blending. Anyway, I took the outer portion of the die cut from card 1 and adhered that to my blended note card with a Boo sentiment from that curly frame set and ghosts from a Whimsy Boo die set. I actually made one more card using the frame from this curly frame die but will be saving that one for the Word Power challenge possibly. Fun patterned paper pack fro some fun Halloween cards.

Since I couldn’t decide which card to enter, I’m sharing both with:

Fintastic Day

My favorite patterned papers come from Whimsy Stamps and especially their card front panels. My card today uses Coral Reef patterned paper card front from Whimsy Stamps and their Bubbly A2 die. The center portion of this die was popped up with foam tape. I added a sentiment that was included with the patterned paper pack and this this card is complete. When you have these awesome papers it’s almost too easy to make a fun card.

My card will be shared with:

Happy Days

I don’t have a lot of musical stamps although I did remember this unmounted red rubber jukebox that has been in my stash forever and a day! Google Lens identified the stamp as a jukebox cookie cutter! Close but I knew it was a stamp and maybe from Gina K Designs back from StampTV days as a freebie. The checked patterened paper was gifted to me by a stamp buddy and I added two strips of red cardstock. Sentiment is Taylored Expressions and notes and stars are another “yikes” I cannot remember clear stamp set…..maybe Fiskars…cute clear stamp images for different occasions that was so old I could hardly peel off the stamp from the plastic. After begin stuck for a sentiment I thought the one used could be a twist on the music theme! My card will be shared with:

Double D Challenges: Musical Challenge

Thanks to Double D for choosing my card enter last month for the Butterfly challenge as a Top 3! I was thrilled. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care; stay safe.

Ballooning Birthday

I am in a green mode…..lots of green grass…..green leaves…..or is it just that the green inks from my last project are still on my desk! Probably the last!!! My card project uses Taylored Expressions Halftone Dots embossing folder, Birthday Balloons stencil & die combo and a previously sentiment from my stash. The balloons were colored using the stencil, then white pigment ink through the decorated stencil and white heat embossed with the exception of the green on green sprinkles balloon. The tiny bows are also a TE product as is the gold strip. A bit of ink blending on the note card and white spatter completes my card today. This card will be shared with:

Can You Handle the Pressures: Anything Goes with a Twist of Balloons challenge and of course the required embossing folder. Fun challenge. I thought I had balloon strings but just used a black pen to draw them.

Speedy Leaves

After deciding on a variety of green inks from Taylored Expressions, chosing a sketchy leaf stamp and a sentiment and my card stocks, I was ready to start the time on this CAS card. My first Gina K Autumn Silhouettes leaf was stamped using peapod ink and a quick swipe of a baby wipe and dry towel, the next color was sweet basil, then granny smith, then spearmint and finally mint julep. The focal panel was rushed to my Big Shot with a Waffle Flower A2 layering die, then back to the misti to position and stamp the Gina K Scripty Sayings 2 sentiment in the mint julep. This was layered on a piece of green cardstock and cut to size on my paper cutter and finally layered on my A2 notecard. Completed in 5 minutes, 7 seconds. I did find that stamping with ink cubes was a bit more time consuming than a full size pad. It also helped to have a stamp set that was a bit sketchy and the leaves overlapping slightly to hide any oops! Another fun Speed Challenge with:

As You See It Challenge: Challenge #355: Lively Leaves This was a speed challege of under 10 minutes and a theme of leaves.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe.

Daisy Flies

Daisy Dreams by Taylored Expressions is my focal point for this card. The set is a stamp/stencil combination. Somehow my white daisies didn’t work out so I added some color that was left on a brush…..still not satisfied so I flicked a bit of OLO marker ink onto the petals. Butterflies are Martha Stewart 3 butterfly punch.
