Contagious

Roses are red, Violets are blue, There’s a new challenge blog and it may be contagious!

My card today uses Gina K Designs Kindness Wreath. I bought this on a clearance sale from GKD as one sentiment had a typo in spelling so I figured it was a good deal and something a little different for me to add to my collection.

My card today will be added to:

Make Way….

….to the great outdoors? I don’t camp or glamp or fish or boat but I do like to sit on a beach and listen to the ocean but what about the exciting great outdoors of being in a city! New York, Philly, Pittsburgh to name the ones closest to me!!! Walking around taking in the sites and doing some shopping with lots of the great outdoors and many unusual sites that you can encounter. To make my travels to my great outdoors a little more interesting, I decided to use an Art Impressions stamp set skate boarding down the streets of the city. My cityscape is Hero Arts City HeroScape stamp and die set and some ink blending for my city skyline.

I’ll be sharing my card today if accepted to:

Double D Challenges: The Great Outdoors theme. I think my card will fit in with the section of traveling. Traveling to a city and taking in the sites.

Summer Circle Vibes

The colors on my card, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Abandoned Coral reflect the hot and humid weather we are experiencing the last few days since the rains have stopped. My circle summer activities was made using Taylored Expressions Summer Vibes Background stamped in versamark ink and gold heat embossed. I decided to help with the sun rays we needed some shades which are from TE’s Shades of Summer stamp and die set as is the sentiment.

Today’s card will be shared with:

Maps

I thought that the color challenge of Red, White and Blue would be a great time to use my Taylored Expressions Pre-Printed Maps and some Easy Strips. The blue strips are 1/2″ and were cut with my trimmer but the white 1/8″ strips were die cut using TE’s stitched die. Using a sticky sheet, I was ready to start mapping. My flowers are TE Flower Market stamps & dies and the vase is also a TE product Versatile Vases. The sentiment is a SimonSaysStamp stamp & die included in their Sunflower Fields stamp & die set that I found in their sale section. A vellum oval was added behind my vase.

My card today will be shared with:

What’s Up?

Masculine? Clean and Simple? A little bit of both on my card today. I pulled some inspiration from a Father’s Day card my husband received with the colors and design but I left more “white” space on my card. Using Taylored Expressions Create In Quad’s Hexagon layering stencils, the hexagon die and stamp set and four different inks was all that was needed today. It did look a little too CAS so I added a slight amount of brown spatter to my background and mounted on kraft cardstock.

Red, White & ?

My card today is inspired by the July Anything Goes Halloween mood board with the Two Old Bats. Always one to play along with the theme of a challenge but not go overboard on non-traditional Halloween colors this card idea popped into my head! (Less is More) Using one section of Taylored Expressions Create In Quad Halloween stencil and caldron die, I popped it up on my TE Bokeh Layering Stencil panel which was inked in red, white & blue. I added a few MFT die-namics clouds and a few white stars. Sentiment is from a Hampton Arts Outline’s stamp set.

I will be sharing this card with:

Eleventh Birthday

More is Best! That’s the motto of our granddaughter when she makes her cards. So when the challenge of using more than one fold came up with Cardz 4 Galz I felt like this was made for the upcoming eleven year old .

My card is a double gate fold card…two folds folded back on themselves so does that count as four folds? Scored my card, found some cute patterned paper from my stash and then searched for this tropical flamingo image from Great Impressions.

Here’s where the more comes into play with a second Great Impressions tropical foilage circle was included on the right side gate fold.

And yes there is even the most for this sweetie. The inside was stamped using Hula Cat from The Cat’s Pajamas and Aloha Diva from Gina K Designs. The 11th die cut was made using Concord & 9th’s double cut dies. Some bling on all portions completes my card today that will be shared with:

Bridal Shower Wishes

I’ve been working on cards for an upcoming bridal shower. Using Michael’s Shimmery white cardstock and a Sizzix embossing folder for my background panel, then die cut Memory Box’s Enchanted Heart twice for my focal image. I added teeny, tiny, little pieces of foam strips between the two die cut hearts for some dimension, added a tiny flower “layered sticker” to the center and adhered to my card. I wasn’t sure of a sentiment but decided on this red rubber stamp from a Gina K Designs stamp set.

I’ll be sharing my card today with:

Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #201 Use Dies/Punches

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. It’s been quite a weather pattern lately with lots of rain/sun/rain/thunderstorms and repeat tomorrow and maybe Wednesday, too. Take care, be safe and stay cool.

Debossed Butterfly Garden

Another debossed background using Archival Brilliance Pearlescent Purple ink on the raised portion of the SimonSaysStamp Wildflower Field 3D embossing folder. While attempting this techinque, I, like another stamp buddy made several backgrounds trying to figure it out. The embossed panel is Gina K Designs LemonDrop and instead of adding the same color ink with a brayer I decided to swipe the ink pad in a deeper shade over the debossed panel to cover up the pearlescent purple ink. The butterfly is Taylored Expressions Beautiful Butterflies die & foil combo and sentiment is also a TE that was previously stamped and die cut. Butterflies seem to make everything better, don’t they?
