Blue Abstract

After choosing my Taylored Expressions Abstract Accents stencil and clear stamp combo, I decided on a few blending brushes that looked like they had blue ink on them. I positioned five different abstract shapes and added some ink from those brushes. Stamped a few of the images in black from the stamp set, die cut my TE Branch out die and added a previously stamped, embossed and die cut sentiment from my stash. I little splatter and spatter here and there and this card is complete.

July Christmas

Christmas in July is coming up quickly. The deadline for Making Cards for the Troops Christmas cards is coming up quickly too. I need to get serious about making my Christmas cards for this group and this is a beginning. This card is all Gina K Designs and was entered into the July 2024 Monthly Mix Challenge on Gina K Designs & StampTV Friends private Facebook page. My card uses stamps from Christmas Wishes and Peace Love & Joy (free with purchase) sets.

Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #67

The mood board had a lot of red, white and blue but I focused on the red color for my card.

Hopefully none of our friends are in the way of Beryl and West Coast friends are hanging in with all their oppressive heat! Lots of records being broken in Vegas and probably not just gambling!!! LOL!

First Anniversary

Celebrating with Simply Clean & Simple Challenge on their first anniversary. Congratulations Diane and Darlene for your awesome challenge blogs that keep me motivated to make cards. I’ll be looking forward to playing in your newest challenge this month and attempt to used my patterned papers without having to go out and buy any more for my stash!!!

My card today is for a sweet young couple’s 1st wedding anniversary that I will be saving for them until November. In my attempt to keep this card Clean & Simple, I die cut the Scrapman “Frame Love” die from the center of my focal panel, then embossed that panel with my swiss dot embossing folder, reassembled and found a greeting that fit inside my “heart” circle.

Today’s card will be shared with:

Floatin’

It is a HOT, HOT summer already and these little floaties from Stampendouss “Floaties” stamp set are cooling off in their cool pool made using Taylored Expressions Cool Pool Rotating Stencil. After stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the images I used a piece of vellum over the stenciled pool to help separate the flamingos from the water. Sentiments from the same set and die cut with Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles die set.

July-oween

July’s Halloween card started off when this card insider message was the first thing I found in my Halloween stash. That was followed by the skull border patterned paper that needed some surgery to fit my word panel which was die cut using Spellbinders deckled rectangles die. After sponging some inks to cloudy up my background, I stamped a few bats, the hanging stars onto that panel. Stamped, colored and fussy cut the witch hat and popped it up on my card front. Final step was to add a frame that was also perviously die cut and found in my stash. Stamps are an oldie but goodie Hampton Arts Outlines stamp set.

My card today will be shared with:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: July 2024 Anything Goes Halloween

I took inspiration from the July mood board and focused on the witch centerpieces for my card idea.

Independence Day 2024

Independence Day 2024 with the US and red, white and blue. A split background stamp from Taylored Expressions named Americana allows you to position the entire stamp on your stamp positioner then remove the top or bottom and ink it and stamp then align the other portion back on the positioner and remove the first stamp and ink the second part of the stamp with a different color ink. Easy to realign and no masking required.

Birthday Bugs

The Hey Lady Insiders sentiment seemed a great landing spot for my ladybug designed card. I inked up the Taylored Expressions Hey Lady kit which included stamp, stencils, die along with a coordinating Happy Trails stamp set and foiled sentiment for my card. The ladybug background can be used as a total background or die cut the ladies out for multiple cards. So if I was making one background I might as well make two! Cute new set and glad I added it to my collection. I have no will-power especially when it comes to cute.

My card today will be shared with:

Miss Lady

All that softball running was piece of cake after our 6 year old granddaughter made a visit to the “elf room” and made her first card. I told her making cards is not so easy. She did a great job, followed all the instructions to create her card and envelope for her little brother who was a little under the weather.

I wanted to share her achievement with all of you. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time.

Traveling Pants

My card today was inspired by the book The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants which is a best friends story and a pair of jeans shared by these friends. So using the pocket die from a recent Gina K Designs die, I created “jeans” using blue cardstock, stamping gauze background stamp in navy ink and ink blended the edges. Stamped and die cut a number of flowers from the GKD All Occasion Flowers set and added a SimonSaysStamp hugs die to complete my card.

I will be sharing my card today with:
