3D Bouquet

I have discovered that not all 3D embossing folders are equal in size and depth. I’m always trying to figure out the sandwich for my BigShot and 3D eb folders holding my breath not to force anything. The Baroque Bouquet 3D embossing folder from Taylored Expressions gives a nice dimension and levels of embossing. This is TE stamp set, coordinating stencils, die and embossing folder. The TE Fineline Vine background stamp was inked with versamark ink for a tone on tone look and TE’s Wavy Stitched Stacklets for a bit of a design border. Sentiment strip was friended to me.

Splatter Patch

Splatter rule #1 — wait until the splats dry before taping to a card panel or you will end up with snow balls instead of splatter!!! LOL!!!! My pumpkin patch was made using Taylored Expressions Graveyard Shift dies, Memory Box Pasture Grass dies, TE’s Squiggle Stacklets, Copic Opaque White for splatter, sentiment strip from my stash probably SSS.

My card will be shared with, of course, one of my most fun monthly challenges:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: Anything Goes Halloween January 2025

The dynamic duo team of Diane and Darlene are at it again with another monthly challenge beginning in February Neglected Stuff Challenge Blog. Pretty sure I have a lot of those items and should be fun to ink up and use the “forgottens” in my stash.

HBD!

I’m adding to my supply of birthday cards with this Cuttlebug embossed background on black cardstock and swiped with white pigment ink. Then taking a section of a Taylored Expressions Time to Fly Combo Club stamp and stencil set and SimonSaysStamp Chunky Happy die, cut out twice, once in the stenciled carstock and once in black for the outline and then the shadow in vellum. Adding a scripty TE Big Happy Add-On sentiment and mounting to the card base my card is completed.

Today, I will be sharing with two challenges:

Double D Challenges: 9th Birthday/Anniversary Challenge at Double D Congratulations to Darlene and Diane and their fabulous design team.

And since my card is really made up of words, I’ll be adding the

Word Power: Word Power January 2025 Challenge

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe, keep warm and prayers for California.

Natural Shine

Fun Fold card with lots of shine…..it’s like go bold or go home sometimes with me. This is a CASE of a Christmas card received from Johanna and a new stamp set gifted to me by a friend. With the images in the stamp set it could have gone nautical or space themed and I opted for more of a outer space 🙂 theme. Digging out my DCWV Natural paper pad from my stash, I decided on three different patterns, embossed the image on vellum and heat embossed with bronze embossing powder. After fussy cutting the arrow and gluing it in place I thought it looked liked a game board spinner. The note card also opens for a second sentiment and personal message. Thanks for the inspiration Johanna.

My card today will be shared with:

Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge: ATG using pretty patterned papers January 2025 with a theme of a fun fold card.

We had a few inches of snow today and while Will shoveled I put most of Christmas away! My forever tree stays up year round and the snowmen have been warned that it’s to the basement in storage if they bring too many winter storms. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and keep warm. Brrrr….it’s very cold in Pennsylvania.

YGP w/Splatter

A color challenge using Yellow – Green – Purple is Colorful Options January 2025 Challenge! I immediately went to Mardi Gras but decided it was too early for that so with a little bit of overlap and a teeny bit of colors not quite blending I decided on a silhouette stamp and turned it into a birthday card for maybe my son and/or sil. The added splatter was intended for a Facebook challenge with Taylored Expressions and I lightly splattered some gold and black on this card. My orginal card with the same design was pretty heavy handed with gold splatter. That one grew on me and I’ll be using that one too. My products are all TE including Simple Silhouette stamp set, Happy Occasions stamp & die set, A2 Postage Stamp Stacklets die, Granny Smith, Dried Fig & Pineapple inks.

I will be sharing my card with:

Little Buddy Birthday

A January birthday card for a friend’s little boy. This is my attempt to make “bubbles” on my background. After finding lids in different sizes and some Distress Oxide inks, I began inking the edges of the lids and stamped, added some water to try to move the ink around. Not exactly the effect I was looking to achieve…..maybe I need to wet the paper first so the ink moves a bit more. After drying the ink with my heat tool, I embossed this panel using a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder with the layering panel in one pass and was pretty surprised how the two layers fit into each other after gluing together. The image is Unity Stamps and a Gina K Designs Winter Blocks sentiment.

Can You Handle the Pressure? Anything Goes Embossing with a Twist of Winter

I was thrilled that my embossed poinsettia card in December’s challenge was chosen as a Top 3. WhooHoo!!!

Green & Gold

A gold embossed snowflake tree layered on dark green SSS cardstock and sentiment. The snowflake tree is a SSS Glistening Snowflakes stamp set and sentiment from their Joyful Season set. The notecard edges were gold embossed also for a bit of a border. Hard to see but there are 5 clear baubles on my tree for decoration. This color reminds me of the car color I wanted when we purchased our first car after getting married……I ended up with a blue car, then a black car or two and now an octane red car but no green one….so this card is for Will (hubby). Wonder if he will follow my train of thought?!?!? LOL!! This is a good color for me!

Glossy poinsettia

A Taylored Expressions Poinsettia and Pines embossing folder on a piece of glossy foil red cardstock layered on piece of black cardstock creates the focal background of my card today. A piece of black ribbon with some baubles, a TE sentiment and Sizzix poinsettia die completes my card.

Except for a few Christmas tags and a special card from hubby, I’m finished. Moving on to winter theme cards and a ton of January birthdays are up next for me.

My card today will be shared in the:

Stenciled Ornaments

Imagine my surprise when I shopped at my local Michael’s and saw layering stencils! And on sale no less! This was a nice additon to my ever growing stencil collection and quite a good price point too. A Taylored Expressions sentiment and some gold splatter for a bit of shine completes my card today and it will be shared with:
