Ghostly Boo

A card or two ago I saw ghost birds for the focal image and on my debossed background for this card I see octopi creatures instead of ghosts???The embossing folder is a SimonSaysStamp “Cute Ghosts 3D folder which I inked the individual debossed ghosts then swiped with black and brown Distress inks. The bubbling cauldron is a Taylored Expressions die set, and the ghost and sentiment is SSS Friendly Ghosts which was a bit of a challenge to line up and stamp.

Ghost Birds

I was inspired by this image from other card makers a month or so ago and after some research found it was a freebie from Gecko Galz. My image was die cut using Taylored Expressions Arched Stacklets. After die cutting, I made several frames in black shimmer cardstock to frame the image. A piece of marbled carstock jumped out at me which I embossed with SimonSaysStamps Floral Field embossing folder. I swiped ivory pigment ink over the raised florals to make them pop a bit. Gina K Designs Fresh Cut Flowers dies were used for my flower and sentiment strip is also from SSS. I always seem to need a pop of color so added the tiny pink heart to the center of my die cut flower. To me the focal image reminds me of birds more than ghosts so I called them my Ghost Birds.

This time, I repeat stamped the triple flowers on my focal panel, then using a yellow marker colored in the bottom portion of the panel. Added the sentiment and layered on the diagonal striped patterned paper. I have been inspired by our Buddies who have used black & white on their sunflower makes recently.
