Starting with Taylored Expressions Stitched with Love cutting plate and poking out all those tiny hearts, I continued with diecutting TE’s Folk Love letters which left me to replace the “O” in LOVE with TE’s Folk Art Hearts stamp, stencil, die set. I was anxious to use Gina K Design’s new butterscotch cardstock and am enjoying the finished look on this card…..not just for Valentine’s Day, I believe.
Halloween and Pink Hearts???? Well I have pink and a heart so I was inspired by Two Old Bats Mood Board without losing the Halloween vibe. After watching a Mindy Eggen YouTube video on her moon background, my card includes Gina K Designs Friendly Silhouettes Sketched Flowers, SimonSaysStamp Happy Haunting and Taylored Expressions Gus & Gertie Halloween stamps.
Always fun to play along each month with Two Old Bats. Thanks for choosing my card as a Top 3 in January. Another round of icy weather tonight and the weekend……I’m ready for spring! Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time.
Red rubber mounted stamps are usually the most neglected product in my “elf” room but in the process of searching through my Valentine supplies I came across this hanging heart stamp. It’s an Inkadinkadoo Kathy Davis stamp that I am pretty sure I purchased at my local AC Moore store the beginning of my stamping hobby back in 2005…..wow 20 years ago. I’m still excited to be making and spreading cheer.
For my card the focal is that Inkadinkadoo stamp, Taylored Expressions Good Hearted Background stamp from 2022 and TE Endless Valentine sentiment from 2023. I really do wish I would have dated all of my supplies. Below is my not anymore neglected stamp!
My card will be shared in the Kick off Challenge for:
I’m getting my heart on with some Valentine cards! My card today has a few layers and may need extra postage or probably my card for hubby! Top layer is Taylored Expressions Mosaic Heart die using pink glitter paper and black shimmer cardstock, the arrows were cut apart from another die in my stash. Next up is the stenciled layer and Simon Hurley’s Happy Hearts layering stencil, using pink ink on one stencil and “slippery when wet’ Lunar paste for the second stencil. This layer was popped up on a embossed lips panel then backed with black and finally on a hot pink note card.
What’s one more paper pad? Hard to resist especially a 6×6 variety of Valentine designs on sale and a voucher from my local Michael’s. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!!! After choosing some patterns from the Sweet on You Recollections Valentine’s Day paper pad, I cut them into 1/4″ strips and staggered them diagonally on a sheet of copy paper. I added two gold TE decorative strips that were on my desk and layered onto some hot pink cardstock. The ephemera hearts were from my stash and the scripty love sentiment is Gina K Designs.
Thank you to the Colorful Options challenge team for choosing my January 2025 color challenge card as a Designer Spotlight card. I appreciate your kindness and support.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and keep warm or cool depending on your location. In Pennsylvania, here we go again! Weekend snow and a couple of mid week storms next week too! Sigh!!!
A stencil challenge of using the word Hello and/or winter card theme was my inspiration for my card today. The stenciled background is Taylored Expressions Create in Quad Mistletoe stencils. This is one of four card fronts made with the quad stencil method. Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry ink and TE’s Poblano Pepper and Cherry Red ink for the stencil layers with Simon Hurley’s Bee Sting Lunar Paste for the final layer of my background. TE Framed Script Hello was die cut twice and cut out from the frame. The panels were die cut with Waffle Flowers A2 Lacy Layers dies.
Another fun challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and keep warm. Yes, it’s still quite cold in Pennsylvania.
It’s snowing outside my house all day and this cute Taylored Expressions bear was sittting on my desk for some time. So when the Double D Challenges: White on White challenge caught my eye I figured it was the perfect time to use this image. I made a mess on my floor die cutting snowflakes with a variety of dies including SimonSaysStamp, Hero Arts Fancy die for my center circle and some unknown dies from my stash while watching football. Taylored Expressions Bear Hugs stamp set, stencils and dies were used for the polar bear. I didn’t want the bear to get lost in all of that white so added a bit of color to the scarf and sentiment.
Another fun challenge from Double D Challenges along with their inspiring mood board. Happy to play along with them.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Snow shovels, layers of clothing are gathered for tomorrow we will be clearing out from today’s snow. It looks pretty but I’d much rather have those dustings to an inch annoying storms. Take care, stay safe and keep warm.
I have discovered that not all 3D embossing folders are equal in size and depth. I’m always trying to figure out the sandwich for my BigShot and 3D eb folders holding my breath not to force anything. The Baroque Bouquet 3D embossing folder from Taylored Expressions gives a nice dimension and levels of embossing. This is TE stamp set, coordinating stencils, die and embossing folder. The TE Fineline Vine background stamp was inked with versamark ink for a tone on tone look and TE’s Wavy Stitched Stacklets for a bit of a design border. Sentiment strip was friended to me.
Splatter rule #1 — wait until the splats dry before taping to a card panel or you will end up with snow balls instead of splatter!!! LOL!!!! My pumpkin patch was made using Taylored Expressions Graveyard Shift dies, Memory Box Pasture Grass dies, TE’s Squiggle Stacklets, Copic Opaque White for splatter, sentiment strip from my stash probably SSS.
My card will be shared with, of course, one of my most fun monthly challenges:
The dynamic duo team of Diane and Darlene are at it again with another monthly challenge beginning in February Neglected Stuff Challenge Blog. Pretty sure I have a lot of those items and should be fun to ink up and use the “forgottens” in my stash.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and keep cozy.
