Easter 1

Time to get motivated with Easter cards and I thought I would begin with this cute stamp set from Simon Says Stamp “Hello Easter”. I know I used the umbrella chick before because I have a mask of the image attached to my stamp folder! But, trust me, this is a new card design. After stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the chick and the egg, I ink blended my background and then added a grass and cloud stencil. Sentiment is from same stamp set.

My card today will be shared with:

Rainbow Recovery

Taylored Expressions Rainbow of Possibilites layering stencil is the background today for my card which was mailed to a little grand”friend” who had her tonsils removed. Gina K Designs bold sentiments from the Luck and Love stamp set are my focal point along with a dragonfly which is also GKD’s Close to My Heart stamp & die set. A few stars and layering scallop panel in my still favorite wintergreen cardstock completes my card today.

Green B&B

Butterflies and a bloom on wintergreen cardstock for my card today. Taylored Expressions wintergreen cardstock is my new favorite color. Also included is TE’s Framed Flowers stamp & die set, Arched Stacklets, Martha Stewart’s tiny triple butterfly punch and from my stash Wildflower Meadow patterned paper by Hackney & Co.

I will be sharing my card with:

Triple B: March Challenge to include birds, blooms and/or butterflies. I opted for two of the three B’s.

I was thrilled that my card for the February challenge was chosen as a Top 3. Thank you so much Diane and Darlene. Always fun to play along with your challenge blogs.

Beware!!

I love all these green color inspiration challenges this month including the March 2025 mood board with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. My card today uses Tim Holtz Layering Moon Mask and Distress Oxide inks in various shades of green, Stampendous background stamps (with no name that I had for ages) and sentiment from Hampton Art’s Zombies Stamp & Stencil set. A little splatter of water and adhered to a green note card.

Shamrock Blessings

A clean and simple green card featuring Colorado Craft Company’s 4 Leaf Clover stamp set. Just some light coloring with Arteza pencils and the sentiment stamped and clear heat embossed. A card not just for St. Patrick’s Day.

I will share my card with two challenges:

Simply Clean & Simple: March 2025 – Shades of Green

The Sisterhood of Crafters: (3/12/25) Shades of GREEN

9 minutes 12 seconds

A speed challenge card from Buddy Johanna peaked my interest to join in the fun. After gathering my background designer paper from my stash and colored cardstocks and my PUNCHES as required by this speed challenge and a prepared sentiment from my stash I was ready to go. The patterened paper was trimmed to fit my note card and using Marvy circle punches, I punched the largest of the circles in white and light blue, then the next size was punched finishing with SU’s 1-3/8″ punch. After adhering my circles, the EK Success dragonfly was cut multiple times from the different colors with top layering being vellum. Sentiment added and side circle trimmed off just in time. I CASE’d this card idea from Tina @ cardsandcoffeetime.com.

Oops forgot to mention that my card took 9 minutes and 12 seconds to complete and again that much time to clean up!

It always fun to play along and share my card with:

Peony Splatter

Splatter, splatter everywhere!!! This is the second attempt of my splatter card which features Gina K Designs Double Peony from the Friendly Wishes card kit, sentiment from GKD’s Blooming Butterfly, GKD carnation and spruce inks and Dr Ph Martin’s bleed proof white for the splatter.

Card #1 uses the same products in landscape orientation but UGH!!! this one looks like it has a case of the measles. The Gansai Tambi Starry Colors gold would have been ok until I got a bit heavy handed with the Dr Ph Martin’s Black Star very intense india ink. I did move to a smaller brush but definitely should have stopped sooner than later with my splats. The Top card I splattered through the stencil so it only shows on the image and not the entire card. More clean up with that method but a much better result.

My card will be shared with:

Crazy is our fame – STENCILS are our game: March 2025 Stencil Fun to use a stencil and the monthly optional challenge of splatter.

I also added the top card to the GKD Facebook page monthly mix challenge which was a sympathy card.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care! Stay safe!!

Gnome Brooke

Whimsy Stamps Quick Card Fronts are the best and I couldn’t resist including Gnome Wishes patterned paper to my other St Patrick’s Day selections. Do I need more patterned paper? No but these are so adorable and are quick and easy to make a sweet card. I think that the gnomes were getting confused with leprechauns but green is green! I did make the white frame around the gnome using my layering dies. Sentiment included in the package. This card is for our oldest granddaughter.

Since the color of the month is green for Colorful Options this was perfect for me. My card will be shared with:
