Scary! Not really with my Halloween create in quad stencils from Taylored Expressions. The scary word die is Whimsy Stamps (my favorite Halloween shopping place) and two Tim Holtz bats. I did cut panels and layered with black cardstock on this card. I’m thinking my scary is getting lost in the busy background…..maybe I could have layered it on vellum. It would be really scary if I tried to take it off and layer it on the vellum, wouldn’t it?
My card today will be shared with:
Crazy is our fame — Stencils are our Game: October 2025 Stencil Fun — Halloween theme with required stencil.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe.

Fun stenciled background. I love how you did the triple layering.
Your layering is great and even though the background is busy, scary shines through with the highlights you’ve added.
I had to enlarge my screen to read the word scary. Vellum might have helped, but it is risky to make that change at this point. I like the triple layering that you did. It has been a long time since I have made that cutting technique. Lovely card!
I agree, Lisa, next time on a busy background I definitely need to put a backer on the word die especially one that isn’t block letters.
Great Halloween card. I really like that background and your triple layering,
Oh Gayle this is FABULOUS!!! Our challenge at Stencil Fun is always Anything Goes WITH an OPTIONAL theme but not required as long as you do stenciling on your creation. Just wanted to clear that up so you can come join in anytime your playing with your stencils whether it meets the optional theme or not!
NOW … I really like the stencil you used today and the design is fabulous! Well done my friend! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Stencil Fun challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Thanks Darlene, I like playing along with the theme….it makes it more fun for me as love your mood boards.
Great card and your stenciling is awesome here. I think the word works and would hesitate to try to remove it as I’m sure things would be damaged.
Thanks, Johanna, I left the card as it was.
Nicely done!
