4th Attempt

It only took four attempts to create my own background for this card. When I was finally happy with the TE Squiggly Stacklets die cut panel which was stenciled with a combination of SimonSaysStamps’ Mixed Match Circles and a second that I cannot recall the name inked in Kitsch Flamingo DO ink then stamped in black with Hero Arts bat background stamp!! I then started work on my focal image and more Distress Oxide inks and a spritz of water a layer of Memory Box Pasture Grasses and my IO trick or treaters. It only took me two attempts to stamp the black notecard with the white pigment ink HA’s bat stamp (first attempt my bats were upside down)!!! A few Martha Stewart bat punched bats and thankfully this is completed. My card will be shared with:

Double D Challenges: Make Your Own Background

Pretty mood board which inspired me to use pink circles for my background. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

  1. Your efforts paid off – your background turned out great. Your punched bats add an exutra touch to your batty background.

  2. Well, it may have taken you a few attempts, but that background is awesome! Fabulous card design Gayle! Did you know this would also fit our Stencil Fun Challenge and our Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge blogs … check ’em out!

  3. I am really glad that you stuck with it because your final card is stunning. Sometimes things just don’t turn out the way you want them but if you stick with you may get something better. Thanks so much for joining in the fun with us at Double D Challenge

  4. Perseverance paid off big time here and the card is fabulous. Chuckled at the upside down bats and could almost see your reaction.
