Color Block

I had a plan for a monthly color challenge using color blocking after viewing a recent Yana YouTube video……hmmmmm…..so it went to choosing my light weight 65 pound cardstock from Michael’s to not really sure of the colors combinations of Red, Orange, Yellow and Green…..the red and orange looked too close in color to me and not sure about that green. After plugging on, I die cut Taylored Expressions coneflower dies…..first I was leaving them all white then decided to add some color, added a few of the detached leaves/stems and Taylored Expressions All Together All Occasions stamp/die set…..the leafy stems were not doing it for me so added a few more coneflowers and finally stepped away before adding anything else…..but maybe I will add a bit of splatter to the background?!?! Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!! Oh well, I think it may grow on me!

My card will be shared with:

Colorful Options: July 2025 Challenge

They do have a fun color mood board for their summer challenge.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care; stay safe.

  1. I like the design. The colors look good together, kind of unexpected. The flowers area wonderful addition.

  2. I like how you cut the CS in the angles similar to the sandwiches shown in Inspo photo. Personally I think the whole card works. I’m sure it will grow on you.

  3. So very creative and pretty! Thanks so much for joining our Colorful Options challenge!

  4. The background colors are very bright and remind me of sherbet. The flowers are a beautiful way to make it a background rather than the main focus. They draw it together, too.

    Great job on it.
