Safari Chick

After being inspired by Buddy Johanna’s recent card that featured a rub on feature, I dug deep in a file cabinet and came across this DCVW Safari Kids Girls run-ons that are glittered. How old and neglected are they? Well they are so neglected they were almost brittle and needed a bit of glue to hold some edges down. The background is a stenciled pattern and a square frame was backed with a piece of vellum.

My card will be shared with:

The Neglected Stuff Challenge March 2025

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe.

  1. Cute! I like monkeys; I have had a collection since I was a little girl. Glad you rub-ons worked with a touch of glue.

    1. Gayle, I just LOVE everything about this card! I am so glad you saved the brittled pieces & used them to create this scene. I especially love the monkey & vellum.

  2. Aren’t we funny, we buy stuff and don’t use it or just forget we have it? The card works well though and the glittered bits look lovely.

    1. Thanks, Johanna. I think it’s a case of what was once popular will be again. Thanks for inspiring me.

    1. LOL…I need to get to the bottom of that filing cabinet drawer a bit more often. Thanks Gerry.

  3. OMG this is just awesome and what fun!!! (Don’t forget to share with us at our Stencil Fun challenge too!). Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Neglected Stuff challenge!  Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
