I was trying very hard to NOT make a Halloween card but somehow I don’t think I achieve that target!!! The Cardz 4 Galz challenge is to pick at least 3 of these colors — Purple, Orange, Black or Green. I chose purple, green and black…..no orange. My Gina K Designs Forever Flowers stamp and die was colored with a Bic Polnyesian Purple marker and tipped with a green Ohuhu marker. After die cutting, I filled in the white outline with black marker. Next up was my background which uses SimonSaysStamp Mix and Match Circles stencil in GKD Lovely Lavender ink and a combination of Taylored Expressions green inks, the outside edge was sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Black Soot. A little splatter in black and purple, a sentiment strip in black and Martha Stewart trio butterfly punch. Still looks like Halloween to me….???
My card will be shared with:

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe. Looks like Indian Summer will happen this week for us with temps close to 80 degrees. It’s heat in the morning and a/c in the afternoon in my car! LOL!!

We have similar weather. Still Halloween colors but not a Halloween image. I like the flower. Lovely!
Thanks, Lisa, I have a friend who has a birthday a few days before Halloween so this may be her card.
I love the card. It is striking with those colours. Doesn’t seem Halloween in style to my eyes. It may get hot where you are, but enjoy it. We’ve had 3 days of constant heavy rain and in some locations there is serious flooding. Thankfully we didn’t have it as bad as some, but any depression in our yard became a mini pond for a while.
Thanks, Johanna, we will take some of your rain. Hopefully it will clear soon for you.
I’m used to seeing these colors on Halloween cards all month so I can definitely see why you feel it has a Halloween vibe. Pretty card though and perfect for the challenge – Halloween or not!
I agree. That combination was just screaming Halloween to me even without the orange. Thanks for commenting.
Very pretty. Yes, it’s Halloween colors but doesn’t look Halloween.
Very pretty. Love the colors.. Thanks for sharing over at Cardz 4 Galz
I like it. Though it tips towards Halloween, it really works for spring, or really any time.
Indian Summer at almost 80s? Oh my, that’s a beautiful temp! Enjoy it.
Thanks, Golda, i appreciate you.
