Under the Boardwalk

After a day at the beach at the shore, our family would clean up and head the the boardwalk for some shopping for t-shirts and hermit crabs, noise, arcade games and maybe a ride or two describes what USED to be a favorite beach activity. Now, when hubby and I go to the shore the quieter it is the happier we are just watching the ocean and the people…….LOL….

My card today uses an Inkadinkadoo stamp set for my amusement pier and sentiment from a Hero Arts set. I definitely wanted to use this stamp and the idea that formed in my brain and then brain freeze!! So I die cut pieces and layered them to try to make it work.

I will be sharing my card with and just under the deadline:

  1. Perfect card to represent the boardwalk! Like you, we loved going when the kids were younger but prefer quieter activities when we go to the shore now. Love your layered card design.

    1. Thanks, Lisa, it’s very relaxing listening to the waves come ashore and watching them break.

    1. THanks, Golda. I was stumped on this one and the original version is on my desk before hitting the trash bin.

  2. Isn’t it funny how our tastes change as we grow older… and hopefully, wiser! I love to just stand and watch the ocean too but have seldom been to a beach that had any kind of boardwalk. Most of the beaches I’ve been to you’d be lucky if there was a shop or a van selling drinks and ice cream! But I have watched a lot of tv shows and think that your boardwalk scene is great, especially layered up like this. Thanks for joining us again at As You See It.

    1. Thanks and it’s nice to share memories. I was happy when the hermit crab stage ended though.

  3. Your boardwalk pier amusement park gives off fun vibes! I’ve never been to one, but it sounds like a great idea to do it at least once in one’s life! Thanks for filling in our blank at As You See It Challenges!
