Destination cards H, I , and J

I have been behind on sharing my destination cards. My family has been very helpful with finding destinations for me.

We were hearing noises that sounded like a hot air balloon being filled, so that is what prompted me to use a Hot Air Balloon Festival for H.

For the I destination, my daughter suggested India. Their national bird is Peacock, so that is what I went with.

This week’s letter was J. I chose Jungle, per my daughter’s idea. This is a new Stampin Up set and it was begging to be used. I enjoyed coloring these images, which were all fussy cut. I had the patterned paper and added Catherine Pooler leaves. The branch came from Hero Arts and the greeting from WPlus9. It was fun to create.

Thanks for joining in my alphabet challenge cards. I enjoy creating these. I like stretching my mind and using supplies that I have had for some time.

  1. These all came out great! I love that boxy easel design you used for your balloon card. Is that a die? The turquoise and gold look great together for your peacock. And your jungle scene is so detailed and fun. Nice job on these!

    1. The hot air balloon card uses a Sizzix/Stephanie Bernard die – Stand-up Framelit , very retired. Thanks! I enjoyed coloring the jungle animals. I must have had out 20 markers before I was finished.

  2. These are all so great. I really like the easel design with the balloons, the peacock is beautiful and your coloring on the jungle scene is amazing. The jungle scene would be great for anyone but especially a child.

  3. These are really good. They are clever in design and perfect for the alphabet letters. Your peacock is amazing as is your jungle scene. Love it all.

    1. Thank you! The jungle is a favorite of mine. It has been a long time since I stamped the peacock and have never used the piece I embossed. I am working on the K destination for this week.

  4. Creative and well thought out Alphabet cards. The hot air balloon card is a great fun fold easel card, your regal peacock is stunning with the background layer and your fun jungle card is beautifully colored and designed. Love that your family and you all put your heads together for your alphabet themes.

    1. Thank you! My family has always given me help with my cards. I think working on these alphabet destinations has kicked their thinking caps up a notch. My husband mentioned Hardware Store for H, but I have no hardware stamps or dies. If he were eager to shop for me, SU has a wonderful set available right now with paper through Thursday. For J, he suggested Junk Drawer, then again, I have nothing that would work well. They are fun to create!
