I am sharing the birthday card I made for my husband’s birthday. It has a large sky, so it is perfect for the Seize the Birthday challenge.

The inspiration for this card came from watching many videos of Bears eating in Alaska. I know I wanted a bear and decided to place it in the trees. I saw a similar idea on MayMay Made It’s blog and used it for help with the layout. The bear, trees, and eagle are from Vinnie’s Fav from MayMay Made It. The Happy Birthday is from a Gina K Design set.

He liked his card. Thanks for sharing in my card.

Great guy card! Love the bear!
Thank you!
Great card with that beautiful sky. Happy birthday to your hubby.
Thanks! He was happy on his birthday.
What a wonderful masculine card! Love the sky with the silhouettes. Thankyou for playing along at Seize the Birthday, Cathy x
Thank you! I was pleased with the sky.
Your silhouette images look great with the sky you created. Great masculine card design!
Thank you! He likes it. Last year’s card was a bear also and is still on display. I am the one who puts cards away.
What a great masculine card. Love that silhouette bear against the sky.
Thank you!
This is great. Those silhouette images work beautifully for that lovely sky. I like the bear. We had one in our driveway a few weeks ago. Had to delay our morning walk for 30 minutes to give it time to leave.
Wow! I have never seen a bear, other than on video. Thanks for the comment!
There are several in our neighborhood so we are always careful when we go for our walks. Saw grizzlies up close in Alaska and that was awesome.
We saw an eagle on our walk yesterday. We never see them, though they are close. There is a Nature Center where they can be watched and it must be near a river. They like water usually. There are bears here, but it is rare to see them. Most are in southern MO.
Lisa, this is a great card and I can see why he really liked it. Your sky is gorgeous as is the whole scene.
Thank you! I just read it got an honorable mention. My husband likes it and that is what I was going for.
